Meghan Duffy | Executive Producer

Meghan spent the last fifteen years honing her craft as a creative producer.  Storytelling is part of who she is and loves bringing big ideas to the screen. 

Meghan has spent time both in front of the camera and behind the scenes on a wide array of shows. After attending the University of Winnipeg, Meghan was accepted into the Creative Communications program in Winnipeg which specialized in broadcast production, journalism, advertising and public relations. After spending time in Vancouver, Toronto and Los Angeles, Meghan has found herself back home in Manitoba doing what she loves - telling unique stories creatively for people to watch.  

After attending the University of Winnipeg, she graduated from Creative Communications, a program which focused on journalism and broadcast production.  After graduating she was on air and producing which is what she loved. She has been a part of Canada's largest shows such as ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT CANADA, DRAGON'S DEN, CTV MORNING LIVE, WINNIPEG DIRECT, AND BREAKFAST TV.

Nicholas Treeshin | Producer

Nicholas has worked in the Film and TV industry for over twenty years. He has hundreds of hours producing, directing and writing both scripted and unscripted content.  He was previously a Development Producer for Force Four Entertainment. Nicholas recently wrote & directed the feature crime drama Thunderbird, and has also directed over 100 episodes of lifestyle, reality & documentary television. He has directed for Netflix, Nat Geo, HGTV, CBC, YTV, OLN, Global, OWN, CityTV & W Networks.

Nicholas will be leading the charge in scripted development and production at BLACK WATCH ENTERTAINMENT and is always looking for new and interesting stories. He is passionate about what he does and is always open to hearing new ideas and is open to possible collaborations.

Andrew Malabre| Lead Writer & Story Editor

Starting out at Second City back in early 2009, Andrew went on to write in several stage productions through various theatre companies while pursuing his acting career on stage and film. He shifted towards scriptwriting full time after being given one of the top spots at TIFF’s “Telefilm Pitch This” while simultaneously being awarded a finalist position in North America’s Scriptapalooza spec script competition.

 

In 2012 he was accepted to the Canadian Film Centre Prime Time television program and soon after landed himself in several comedy writing rooms while developing new animated concepts directly with Nickelodeon. Having taken on the role as head screenwriting professor at Humber College BRTV program and George Brown College television program, he’s found ways to involve himself in script editing through production companies in North America while developing unique partnerships through CBC, Nickelodeon, Bell Media and various production companies.

 

Having joined the team at Black Watch Entertainment, Andrew has pushed his sights towards true crime and factual television as an associate producer, writer and story editor for several of their productions.

Brendan McClure| Production Manager

Brendan McClure is the inhouse Production Manager at the company and knows how to run a show on time and on budget.


Before coming to the company, he managed a large international automotive corporation with budgets in the billions. There, Brendan hand-picked his team and oversaw all outside vendor relationships, negotiations while striking deals with manufactures both in and out of the country. He alone managed over fifty million dollars a year and managed an entire department along the way.


Years prior, he graduated from the Toronto Film School which is when his true passion for film and television grew. He wanted a position where he could combine his business acumen with his creative side, which is how he landed at Black Watch Entertainment.


As an Indigenous person, he is committed to bringing Indigenous voices to the screen and to our team on every single show produced at the company.

Cheryl Grewar| Chief Financial Officer

Cheryl Grewar, CPA, CA has over 30 years of experience in senior financial positions primarily in distribution and entertainment businesses. Most recently, she was the CFO at Tangent Animation Inc. for two years and the CFO at Frantic Films for 12 years. She was also the CFO for the Grey Cup Festival in Winnipeg in 2015 and taught the undergraduate Canadian tax course at the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba for many years.

 

Cheryl currently is proud to serve as a board member and Treasurer for Rainbow Stage and is happy to be part of the Black Watch team.

Tee Jay Dreidger| Production and Office Coordinator

Tee Jay brings over a decade of on set as well as office expereince to her role at Black Watch.  Her outgoing and upbeat personality brings something special to the team which everyone appreciates.  If you are looking for a meeting with anyone on the executive team, please reach out to Tee Jay and she will work her magic and get it set up.
